We leave London for the Kent coast and cross by Dover ferry or Eurotunnel, then run across France on the autoroute network toward the Alps — crossing into Italy via the Mont Blanc or Fréjus tunnels, or along the Riviera coast toward Genoa. From the north the A1 Autostrada del Sole carries the route down through Florence and Rome and on south. City-centre ZTL access zones are planned for in advance.
