Removals from London to Portugal
Portugal has become one of the most popular moves out of London — Lisbon's hills, Porto's river, the Algarve's coast. Wilson carries the move the full distance, and the paperwork with it.
Portugal is the longest of our four European routes, reached overland through France and across Spain. That distance makes the London end decisive: everything is surveyed, packed and protected before it travels so the journey does it no harm. We run it on a planned route and keep you informed rather than leaving your belongings out of sight and out of contact.
Lisbon and Porto bring steep streets and older buildings where access needs thinking through; the Algarve and the Silver Coast are often longer final legs to a villa or a town house. We scope the move around the real destination, not a generic "Portugal".
The route
The London-to-Portugal route
From London we cross to France by Dover ferry or Eurotunnel, then run south-west through France to the Spanish border and on across Spain — a long overland leg toward the west of the Iberian peninsula. From there the route crosses into Portugal toward Porto and the north, down to Lisbon in the centre, or south to the Algarve. Given the distance, moves are often consolidated; your quote sets out the routing and schedule.
Where in Portugal we move
- Lisbon & the centre Hillside apartments and access-led city moves.
- Porto & the north River-city relocations, homes and businesses.
- The Algarve Faro, Lagos and the southern coast — a retirement favourite.
- The Silver Coast Coastal towns north of Lisbon drawing London movers.
Customs, handled
The paperwork for a Portuguese move
A move to Portugal needs a customs declaration and an inventory, and those transferring residence may qualify for relief on used personal effects. We explain the requirements clearly, help you assemble the documentation, and coordinate clearance. As the longest of our European routes, transit is planned around consolidation and the crossings — described in your quote as a process, without invented day counts.
Why London moves to Portugal
